Booker is a 2000 Standardbred gelding with lifetime earnings in excess of $130,000.00. He came to the Rescue in August 2010, surrendered by his owner. Booker was injured in transit from California in July 2010. He arrived at the Goshen Historic Track with a badly injured left front leg. The wound was not properly treated and he laid in his stall for 6 weeks - unable to stand. When his owner was leaving the area - a very kind woman intervened on Booker's behalf and pled with us to help him. Booker loves people and attention, we would describe him as a BIG dog. He love having a bath and especially likes the hose on his mouth almost as though he is enjoying a water pic! Booker is under saddle and doing walk, trot in the ring and out on trails. A really energetic and funny horse! Needs a small sized person - he's only 14.2 hands.
